Build a Wind Turbine for Free Electricity

Pollution and rising electricity prices are motivating people to switch to eco-friendly energy sources. Taking steps to reduce electricity usage with energy-efficient products in the home is only a small contribution to save energy. If you build a wind turbine for your home, you get the advantage of free electricity, and you will also be helping the environment.

Build a Wind Turbine Anywhere

Whether you live on a plot of large land or in a neighborhood with small yards, you can install a wind turbine. If large buildings surround the area, wind patterns may be irregular and more than one turbine might be required. You can build a wind turbine from a kit and install it on the roof or construct a larger wind turbine on larger land space. The higher a wind turbine is, the more power it will produce. The standard height is 60-100 feet.

How Wind Turbines Produce Electricity

Three broad, curved blades at the top of the tower rotate in the wind and rapidly turn a magnetic generator, which converts the rotation into electricity. The amount of electricity produced depends on the speed of the rotation from the wind. A battery array can store excess power for future use.

Wind Turbines Are Easily Built

The easiest way to build a wind turbine is from a kit. These are small turbines that yield less electricity than taller ones and are usually installed on rooftops. Larger wind turbines of 60-100 feet in height are more difficult to build, so you should get professional assistance.

Using a Wind Turbine Saves More Than Money

Your electric bill will be significantly decreased or eliminated. Turbines that produce more power than you use can be connected to the local power grid or a battery array, and the electricity can be sold for passive income. At the same time, you are saving the environment.
